This Baluch rug with its camel-hair field and madder-red borders, is in full pile and great condition apart from a tear in the top kilim-skirt which I have had expertly repaired, thus retaining its completeness. Made by Baluch tribes in Khorassan, north-east Persia around the last quarter of the 19th century.
